VIRTUAL TOUR

At Sarasota County Extension, we pride ourselves on connecting with and helping our community. As a partnership between the University of Florida and Sarasota County, we bring the science of the university to educate the community on issues important to our residents and businesses. A key element of that is designing our facility and landscape to demonstrate best practices in green building, energy and water efficiency, sustainable landscaping, composting, stormwater management, and more.

This virtual tour showcases many of those features, sharing with viewers and visitors the array of benefits, the science and information behind them, and how to apply them at home, in the workplace, and elsewhere. It allows anyone to explore the environmental initiatives and beautiful settings that make the Sarasota County Extension complex special, through short video segments available to in-person and online visitors.

Stops are organized by broad theme, to help visitors navigate the tour by interest and to better envision the programs and information available through Extension. Find helpful information about: ecology and natural resources; Florida-Friendly Landscaping™; gardening; horticulture; sustainability; waste reduction; and water resources.
